The Minocqua Island Business Association is set to kick off its inaugural Pumpkin Tree Festival to be held Saturday, Oct. 30, 1 p.m., rain or shine.
This event will be held downtown Minocqua at Torpy Park.
The Business Association members are encouraging all area residents and communities to help build the Midwest’s largest pumpkin tree right here in Minocqua.
What association members are asking is that everyone who wants to carve a pumpkin, should then bring it down and register it to be put on the tree for the lighting at dusk – it’s that simple.
Registration will begin at 1 p.m. and for each pumpkin registered you will be put in a drawing for prizes!
That’s not all either – there will be face painting for the kids, bobbing for apples, music, pie eating contests, a costume contest for the children and adults, food, a bonfire at dusk and a haunted house.
So help celebrate this new idea and bring a pumpkin or two, the kids and have some fun!
